A for profit, sister company has been registered with the name “Sarala Healthcare Pvt. Ltd”.
Sarala Healthcare opened its first pair of pilot clinic and pilot pharmacy on 2nd February, 2009.
Mobile Health Clinic The clinic is primary/preventive care facility for the poor.
MBBS (Bachelor of medicine and Bachelor of surgery), MD doctors are treating the patients.
Visit fees Rs.10 (< $ 0.25)for eye and Rs.20 for health, far below the neighborhood rate Whenever possible, the physician writes prescription of generic medicines.
During each visit preventive care advice is given. Only absolutely required laboratory tests are requested.
On average nearly 25 Mobile Health Care and approximately 25 Mobile Eye Clinics are conducted at different branches of Sarala Women Welfare Society.We also provide free checkup on Blood Pressure,Pulse,Weight and Blood sugar test.At present we are covering nine districts of West Bengal,having 6 branches. Furthermore Mobile Health Care service has been extended towards economically retarded classes of society through other social organisations/institutions with a weekly frequency.
